  Unstable material can be removed or corrected before new aggregate is added, graded, and compacted. This creates a consistent foundation for the new asphalt, especially in areas used by delivery vehicles, commercial traffic, or other heavy loads.

• Grades and Transitions Are Reset

  Replacement also allows elevations to be reviewed around curbs, sidewalks, catch basins, concrete aprons, and adjoining pavement. Proper transitions help improve drainage and create a smoother finished surface.
