Tyler Weber knows one thing: making a sale is really about making a relationship.

He caught the sales bug early at the age of 18, selling Cutco knives door to door. He learned to swing big playing baseball in college before reentering the professional world, honing his sale skills as a door to door gas and electricity salesman, an over the phone salesman at Tiger Direct, and a rockstar in the waste management industry. But his greatest teacher came from selling copiers in Elk Grove Village: ask the right questions, key in on their answers, and build a threshold to meet the clients’ needs.

He always keeps these lessons close at hand: Tyler puts himself out there, earns the client’s trust, and executes the backend to build new opportunities in the future.

That was evident about him from his very first project with Maul– Toyota of Naperville – sealcoating 500,000 SF of certified material, with 1,200 parking spaces, across 5 days of moving cars and working with the management team of Naperville Toyota to ensure a smooth process and plan. From a walk-in cold call, Tyler opened the door with Wolf Auto Group to fulfill their other locations.

New opportunity is a hunger for the driven young salesman, an avid golfer with a 4.9 handicap. (he’s not a liar, remember?) Tyler is a thrill-seeker, an adrenaline junkie who seeks the same excitement he feels in the middle of a sale: bungee jumping, skydiving, jumping motorcycles triple quad, when he picks up a new hobby, he goes full throttle. As much as he’s about risk, what he really cares about is the reward – his dedicated love for his family and friends. Tyler married his high school sweetheart and been in love ever since – they’re now expecting their firstborn child. As he builds the perfect life, he also enjoys what he’s building at Maul.

“We’re a bunch of like-minded individuals, a bunch of driven people full of camaraderie and friendly competition. We feed off each other’s success. The best thing about working about Maul is they want you to be yourself. They’ve got your back over anything. They see everyone as individuals and profit on individuality. They don’t mold us, they let us take charge ourselves and reap the reward for all of us.”

If you’ve got a job that needs honesty and Respect, look no further than Tyler, our New Business Executive: and if you need any kitchen knives, he knows a guy.
